Talent Jam Ltd takes precautions for the security and privacy of your personal data. This Privacy policy’s purpose is to explain how and why we collect your personal data, and what we use it for. 

 

The type of personal information we collect  

 

We currently collect and process the following information: 

Personal data: 

  • Name and contact details for example phone number, email address, postal address 
  • Evidence of right to work in the UK for example copy of passport, proof of address, National Insurance number, Bank details, Limited company details, Limited company bank details, evidence of certifications 
  • Curriculum Vitae 

Sensitive personal data: 

  • Evidence of Disclosure Scotland, 
  • Credit and criminal record checks 

 

How we get the personal information and why we have it 

 

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you via one of the below sources: 

  • LinkedIn 
  • Job Boards – namely CV Library 
  • Direct job application 

We use the information that you have given us in order to provide you with work-finding services. This includes contacting you about job opportunities and assessing your suitability for such opportunities. This may also include updating our database and developing and managing our services and relationships with you and our clients. 

We may share this information with: 

  • Suitable clients offering employment opportunities for you. 
  • Former employers whom we may seek a reference from 

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are: 

  • Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting hello@talent-jam.co.uk 
  • We have a contractual obligation. 
  • We have a legal obligation. 
  • We have a legitimate interest. 

 

How we store your personal information  

 

Your information is securely stored on our CRM namely HubSpot. 

 

Data Retention 

 

Talent Jam will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary. Different laws require us to keep different data for different periods of time. 

The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, require us to keep work-seeker records for at least one year from (a) the date of their creation or (b) after the date on which we last provide you with work-finding services. 

We must also keep your payroll records, holiday pay, sick pay and pensions auto-enrolment records for as long as is legally required by HMRC and associated national minimum wage, social security and tax legislation. 

Where Talent Jam has obtained your consent to process your personal and sensitive personal data, we will do for a period of 2 years in line with the consent provided.  Upon expiry of that period the Company will seek further consent from you. Where consent is not granted the Company will cease to process your personal data and sensitive personal data. 

 

Your data protection rights 

 

Under data protection law, you have rights including: 

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances. 

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
